What is a BlindProfile?
A Business "Blind Profile" (or "Blind Business Profile") is a brief overview of a business for sale, which does not include any clearly identifying details and is written in a very generalized manner. It is used as a marketing tool for a business so that it can be advertised for sale confidentially; therefore it is written in a way that would not reveal the identity of the actual business being marketed. This is done in order not to jeopardize the business during the sales process.
As you shop for a business the first thing you typically receive is a "Blind Business Profile", followed by a Confidentiality Agreement at a later stage.
Where can I edit my profile information?
After logging in, go to "My BlindProfile", select the "My Profile" tab and edit your profile information.
How can I change my email address?
Your email address is your unique account identifier. To have it changed, please send us your request including your current as well as your new email address in our feedback section so we can update your profile.
I forgot my login details (login or password).
Click on "Login" on the top right of the screen. Your login is the email address that you have registered with. If you have forgotten your password enter your email address, type in the displayed security code and hit "submit". You will receive an email with the required information.
Where can I manage/view my buying requests?
After logging in, click on the "My BlindProfile" tab. Under "My Buying Requests" you can view Blind Profiles to which you have been granted access by either clicking on the project name or by selecting the file under "View". In this section you can also view the message you have sent to the seller under "Request Message".
Where can I manage/view my selling requests?
After logging in, click on the "My BlindProfile" tab. Under "My Selling Requests" there are two sections. The first section titled "Pending Requests" allows you to view the profile of the interested party, the related message, as well as accept or decline any requests. The second section shows you "Answered Requests". Here you can additionally delete selling requests, i.e. Blind Profiles, one by one that you have made available to interested parties.
Where do I manage my Blind Profiles?
After logging in, click on the "My BlindProfile" tab. Under "My Blind Profiles" you can see which of your Blind Profiles, that you have uploaded, are online and which are offline. This section allows you to active/deactivate Blind Profiles, as well as edit them.
How can I upgrade/downgrade my membership?
After logging in, click on the "My BlindProfile" tab. Under "My Membership" you can select the desired level of membership.
How can I sell a business?
1. Get a free membership.
2. Select the "Sell" tab .
3. View "How it works" for a tutorial or directly upload a Blind Profile.
How do I buy a business? How do I find an investment opportunity?
1. Get a free membership.
2. Select the "Buy" tab.
3. Enter search criteria either by making appropriate selections in the respective sections (Industrial Sector, Country, Turnover, Financing Stage), by entering Keywords or by using the Extended Industrial Sector Browser.
4. If you would like further information on a specific business click on "Request Blind Profile" to make a viewing request to the seller.
5. You will receive an email notifying you whether or not you have been granted viewing access.
6. To view the Blind Profile, first you need to login and go to "My Blind Profile". You can view the document under "My Buying Requests".
How can I find investors with a specific expertise?
Click on "Find a Member". Enter search criteria either by making appropriate selections in the respective sections (Industrial Sector, Country, Min. Investment, Financing Stage Expertise) or by entering Keywords.
